Stewart Daroux conducts a busy personal injury and general litigation practice. He has a special interest in brain injury cases and other serious injury cases and has developed a rather extensive research collection of both medical and legal authorities.
Stewart was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada with his family as young boy. He was raised in and around Calgary, Alberta and graduated from St. Mary’s High School and from the University of Calgary with a Business Degree. Stew then worked as a Cost Control Analyst and Project Manager with Gulf Canada Resources for 3 years, while continuing his education and attaining the final level of a Certified Management Accounting designation.
Stewart next ventured off to the University of Victoria where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1989. He returned to Calgary with his 2 young children and started his legal career with one of the large downtown firms. It wasn’t long before he decided he preferred to work more directly with people and he and his young family relocated to Cranbrook in 1990 where he raised his children.
Stewart has expanded his practice to include the West Kootenay. He now resides in Rossland and has an office in Rossland, Trail and in Cranbrook. He enjoys competing in local triathlons (Nelson Daily article). He also enjoys skiing (cross country, backcountry and downhill), snowshoeing, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, camping, yoga and kayaking. He is an avid reader and chess player.
Stewart and his wife, and fellow lawyer, Danielle Daroux, represent personal injury clients together and with the benefit of the extensive trial experience of Michael Kew. He believes that proves advantageous to their clients as they have the benefit of the skills and expertise of three lawyers at no extra charge! Read about our Personal Injury Team.
